a quick reply box, maybe? (to save us posting-addicts of a click)

A quick reply box... hmmm.. i did see that somewhere... But... Isn't it nice to just do it like this? To me it gives it a bit more passion... Put a little more effort in your posts. Get excited about it. Do something nice, a bold thingy or an [i]italic[/] thingy..

I do think it can be done, but the real question is... Do we really want it???

*bats eye-lashes at you* well, i was just asking. :-D
because i know most codes by heart already, i even used to know some colors(yeah, no life at all.. or just a good memory? :-P )
And there is a possibility for one with few editing options+fewer emotes.

but i think a quick reply would be nice. if more people would like it that is....

Your browser can do spell checking Gratiela. Which one do you use?

And what about the quick reply box OptimaX? Hmm? :-D

I've looked into it. This Message board doesn't standard come with a Quick Reply box. There is a MOD for it, but i'm not very keen on installing mods as they are annoying to install and also could damage the database if installed wrongly breaking the whole forum.

So really... I'm sorry but at the moment it doesn't look like we'll have quick-reply.

And it's ok, the quick reply box was a whim, I guess. I sure can do without it!

Firefox :-D

You can download dictionaries for Firefox here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3

And then you can change the spell check language like this:

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem.
The session timeout time is ridiculously short. It force-logs me out after a couple of minutes of inactivity (yeah, it takes me ages to post something, I know) and that's how I lost a couple of posts. Opti, can you fix it? (I think it should be somewhere in the board settings)
How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
What have we found?
The same old fears
Wish you were here

I've have noticed this problem too quite a few times, and have unsuccessfully tried to tweak the settings. I think this has to do with settings from the host itself. The forum is hosted at a server of a friend of mine. I will have to discuss this with him and see hat he says. In the meantime i suggest you type your answers in a text file or word file and then copy-paste them into the forum to prevent it from getting lost (i've been doing this for quite some time and already trained myself to copy the text from the forum before pressing submit in case the time out was not long enough....
